Ultrasound assessment of fetal gender
The aim of this scan is to inform you if you are expecting a baby-boy or baby-girl. An accurate estimation of fetal gender is possible from 15 weeks on (15 weeks and 0 days). Before 15 weeks, external genitalia in both genders appear similar thus it is very difficult if not impossible to guess fetal gender. If you decide to have examination of all fetal systems (anomaly scan or genetic scan) or to see the real image of your future baby during 3D-4D scan, we would be happy to set-up these other scans for you.
The whole examination with counselling takes around 5 minutes and you are welcome to bring your partner or someone close to accompany you through the examination. A detailed report with the results will be sent to you by email within a week.
